Is a weather station enough?

No. The scheme requires a decision-support tool (soil / piloting), not just a weather measurement. That is exactly what SoilSense provides.

Do I need automatic irrigation control?

No. A soil probe with manual readout is an eligible decision-support tool: you control irrigation yourself from our recommendation. Automatic control (solenoid valve) is optional. The file must, however, also include an irrigation material and a water meter alongside the decision-support tool.

What is the exact rate?

30% of the cost excl. VAT, plus 10 points for young farmers and new entrants. Eligible-spend ceiling: €40,000 excl. VAT (€150,000 for CUMA and ASA).

Until when can I apply?

The scheme is open until 31 December 2026, or until the budget is used up — so it can close earlier. You then have 24 months to carry out the investment.

To be eligible, your application must include at least one irrigation material and at least one decision-support tool. SoilSense is your decision-support tool (soil probe + alerts) — pair it with your irrigation material to complete the file.

2 · Decision-support tool — SoilSense

Capacitive soil probe (SMT100) + decision alerts

Our SMT100 probe is a capacitive probe — one of the categories explicitly eligible in the decision annex (Table 2) — and our alerts (plant-available water, water stress, over-irrigation) make up the decision-support tool the grant requires.
