Does the call require installing soil-moisture sensors?

No. The call funds irrigation investments and water-control & water-saving systems: SoilSense is one of the latter (an eligible item) and contributes to the score as "technical and management innovation." The required Potential Water Saving (RIP), however, is calculated on irrigation-system efficiency, not on sensors. Confirm the conditions in your region's call.

Do I need irrigation automation?

No. Monitoring and deciding from our data is enough. A water meter, however, is mandatory (CR21).

What's the rate and the deadline?

In the Sicily example: 65% (80% for young farmers), applications until 8 June 2026. Rates, ceilings and deadlines vary by region — check your region's SRD01 call.
