SRD01.01A olive-sector grant · Puglia Region

Puglia funds new olive groves and irrigation in Xylella-free areas.

Puglia's SRD01.01A "olive sector in areas free from Xylella fastidiosa sub. Pauca" call (CSR 2023-2027, €20M budget) funds new olive tree plantings and new irrigation systems. SoilSense soil-moisture monitoring does not replace the irrigation system: it makes it more efficient and supports the water savings of the new plantings. Have your technician or CAA confirm how it fits.

2 · Soil-moisture monitoring — SoilSense

Soil probe + irrigation app & alerts

SoilSense measures soil moisture in the root zone and turns it into clear irrigation alerts. On the new grove it helps you irrigate only when needed and document the water savings of the new plantings. Your technician frames it among the project's irrigation and water-efficiency investments.

How SoilSense works

Sensors in the soil. Answers on your phone.

A wireless datalogger reads soil moisture right at the root zone and sends it straight to the SoilSense app — so you can see exactly how much water your crop has, and act before stress sets in.

The setup

Diagram of how SoilSense works: a datalogger with buried soil sensors sends data wirelessly to the cloud and on to the SoilSense platform on laptop and phone.

The SoilSense app

The SoilSense dashboard shown on a tablet and a phone, displaying plant-available-water charts.

The same data, live on your computer, tablet and phone. Always available from everywhere you are.

No agronomist needed

Just read the colour.

When something needs your attention, SoilSense sends a plain-language alert to your phone — so you know whether to water, wait, or ease off, at a glance.
