SRD01 olive-sector grant · Calabria Region

Calabria funds 65% of your new olive grove and irrigation.

Calabria's SRD01 "olive sector" call funds new olive plantings, grub-up and replanting and irrigation systems at 65%, with a €50 million budget. SoilSense soil-moisture monitoring is not a standard-cost line item, but it strengthens the environmental score (P07 — systems that reduce water consumption) and helps hit the water savings the call requires (CR23). Have your technician or CAA confirm how it fits.

Call open — applications until 17:00 on 31 July 2026

How the eligible project fits together

1 · New olive grove ≥ 2 ha + irrigation — your part

New olive planting & drip irrigation

This is the funded core of the call: new intensive, high-density or super-intensive olive plantings (or grub-up and replanting of at least 2 hectares), reimbursed at standard cost (UCS). It also covers drip irrigation (a UCS add-on of €730–1,180/ha), new irrigation systems, water recovery and capture-and-collection systems. Access requirement: a new olive planting of at least 2 hectares.

Good to knowDrip irrigation is reimbursed at standard cost; extending the irrigated area triggers the CR15–CR23 conditions (water meters and a demonstrated water saving).

2 · Soil-moisture monitoring — SoilSense

Soil probe + irrigation app & alerts

SoilSense measures soil moisture in the root zone and turns it into clear irrigation alerts. In this call it is not a standard-cost line: your technician frames it among the eligible irrigation and water-efficiency investments (§7) because it is a "system that reduces water consumption" — exactly the category that scores under the P07 environmental criterion and documents the water savings the CR23 condition requires. It is also the digital / DSS innovation that criterion P01 promotes.

Good to knowSoilSense is not a guaranteed expense: the technician frames it among the irrigation / water-efficiency investments and for the P07 score. Confirm before you apply.

The call rewards olive projects that save water: criterion P07 awards points for buying systems that reduce water consumption (for at least 20% of eligible spend), and CR23 requires a demonstrated 5–25% water saving. SoilSense soil-moisture monitoring supports both and represents the digital / DSS innovation of criterion P01. Pair it with your new olive planting and drip irrigation; framing the line item is your technician's job.
