In Calabria, two public SRD01 calls under the PSP 2023–2027 fund precision-agriculture investments — soil-moisture sensors and efficient irrigation among them — with up to 75% of the cost covered by an outright grant.
SRD01 is the CAP intervention for on-farm competitiveness investments. Calabria runs it as two separate avvisi with different targets: one for precision and 4.0 machinery and equipment, one for the olive sector. You apply to the call that matches your project — and, if you run more than one eligible investment, potentially to both.

Olive sector
Open nowFor new olive plantings, grub-up and replanting, and irrigation systems, with a €50M budget. SoilSense isn't a standard-cost line, but it strengthens the water-saving score (P07 / CR23).
SoilSense measures soil moisture in the root zone so you irrigate on data, not by habit. In the mechanisation call, IoT field sensors are an explicitly eligible investment. In the olive-sector call they aren't a standard-cost line item, but they support the environmental score for reduced water use (P07) and the water savings the call asks for (CR23). Either way, have your technician or CAA confirm how it fits your dossier before you apply.
